Swifties across the globe are very excited right now after Taylor Swift announced a new album is on the way. And it's not the one many expected.
There were rumors that Swift might announce the re-record of her famous album Reputation if Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs were able to beat the San Francisco 49ers and claim another Super Bowl victory.
But instead, she shocked everyone after winning her 13th Grammy, announcing that in April she will be releasing a completely new album, titled "The Tortured Poets Department."
Swift is known for hiding clues whenever she plans to announce something big. And this album was no different. However, many were mislead by the black and white.
On Sunday morning, the singer changed her social media profile picture to black and white. And based on the album cover, it's clear to see why people made that connection.

A few weeks back, all of Swift's close friends, including Kelce, also changed their profile to a black and white photo. So of course, that's how the rumors began. And the next question is when the announcement would be made.
But now we know that no only will the announcement not happen at the Super Bowl, but it also isn't the announcement anyone expected.
And based on what the singer has done in the past, she wouldn't have upstaged such an important game like that for herself. She has made it clear that she is there to support Kelce and the Chiefs this season, not caring how many times the broadcast shows her. And Swift clearly doesn't want to make it about herself.
So now Swifties can just watch for a glimpse of the pop star, while NFL fans don't have to worry about any other news coming out that day.
