The Las Vegas Raiders recently changed regimes from the Josh McDaniels era to now the Antonio Pierce era, which may or may not continue in 2024. When they made that change, there were rumors that players were not bought into the system and that McDaniels had lost the locker room.

Since then, we have seen Pierce kind of change the entire vibe of the team. The team is now playing for one another with much more energy than before, and it's a great thing to see. But, there is still something that may worry fans a bit.

When Josh Jacobs was on Maxx Crosby's podcast, he was asked what the Raiders needed to do in the next five weeks to get where the team wants to go. His answer may leave a few fans scratching their heads.

"Man, I would say as a team, we just got to lock in and understand what we want, and have that hunger and have that mentality like that; we won't be denied at any point, no matter who we are playing, no matter who lined up next to me. When I'm on the field, I always think of my game," Jacobs said to Crosby and his co-hosts.

"I feel like if everybody comes out with that same attitude like I don't care what your role is, I'm going to win my one-on-one this day. And I think we got enough guys right now with that same mentality, but we also got the guys that's kind of teetering like, you know, they kind of, you know, got to believe it to see. I feel like we got to get them guys a little bit more on board."

It shocked me to hear Jacobs say that everyone may not be bought in still, especially when you consider how far along the team is into the 2023-24 season. There are five weeks left, and the guys still aren't bought in with a chance to make the playoffs.

I'm not in the locker room, so I cannot say it's true or not and how bad it is. However, if I'm Mark Davis, I may want to do a bit of research on who those players are and see if it's just them being stubborn or if Pierce is not able to reach everyone because, remember, Pierce is being considered for the job in 2024.

This was surprising to hear from Jacobs, to say the least. And remember, this is the same thing Davante Adams has said before.
