The Detroit Lions have been super quiet in free agency since their last move, but they're back on Friday with another move on the books. The Lions have re-signed Kayode Awosika.
It felt a bit surprising that Awosika had not been retained earlier since he has shown to be solid depth in the few years that he's been in Detroit.
The big highlight was his start against the Seahawks on Monday Night Football this past season. He allowed one pressure and zero sacks in that game. Awosika also started against the Cowboys and played well in that start too, with four pressures allowed and one sack.
With Kevin Zeitler gone, the Lions could still use some help on the interior and while Awosika is a good depth, he's not likely going to be the answer for the Lions in this scenario. They're still going to need to hit the draft or possibly free agency again.
