The Los Angeles Chargers control their own fate for the rest of the season. They will be in the playoffs if they win on Saturday against New England.

When the offseason arrives, the Chargers will have several different positions they need to prioritize upgrading, either through free agency, trade, and/or the NFL Draft. A big one will be getting stable production at wide receiver to pair with Ladd McConkey, and that is exactly what a new A to Z Sports mock draft has them doing.

"Quentin Johnston has not been the impact size at receiver that the Chargers hoped. McMillan isn’t the cleanest separator, but he has an incredible catch radius and great hands. He should be a really good pairing with Ladd McConkey"

New A to Z Sports mock draft

McConkey has been as advertised, drafted by the Chargers to be a quick separator that can operate out of the slot or on the outside. Now, finding a big target on the outside will be important to form a reliable duo for quarterback Justin Herbert and the Chargers passing game.

Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan is probably the best fit to fill the team's need. But many expect him to be drafted inside the top 15, if not the top 10. So, if he is on the board when the Chargers are on the clock, they should pounce at the opportunity to bring him to Los Angeles. His size and ability to use it to win routes and 50-50 ball situations paired with a QB like Herbert could be a match made in heaven.
