The Los Angeles Chargers were flat-out dominated by the Houston Texans as their season came to an end during the Wildcard Round of the NFL playoffs.

It certainly wasn't quarterback Justin Herbert's best game. He finished with four interceptions and just one touchdown. Herbert simply wasn't good enough on the day. However, it was also very clear that the team doesn't have enough weapons. Upgrading their pass catchers this offseason must be a top priority.

In a new A to Z Sports mock draft, the Chargers do just that by adding a weapon that would help out in both the passing and running game.

Chargers land Penn State dynamic TE Tyler Warren in new mock draft

"The Chargers have to get more consistent and dynamic at the same time for Justin Herbert to become greater than his immensely impressive physical tools suggest. Tyler Warren will be another elite tight end in the AFC West. Warren's verticality, finishing ability, and hard-nosed run style make him so easy to love and root for."

New A to Z Sports Mock Draft

On top of needing a wide receiver (or two), the Chargers could use a reliable pass catcher at tight end going forward. One of the best in this class is Penn States' Tyler Warren, who honestly could end up being a swiss army knife for Jim Harbaugh.

If you watched any Penn State game this season, it would have been impossible to miss Warren. When he wasn't making plays as a pass catcher, he was also laying big blocks in the run game or taking the handoff himself as a runner. Giving a true "football guy" like Jim Harbaugh a TE like Warren who not only excels at the flashy elements of playing the position but will also get down and dirty to do the little things well seems like a perfect match. If this landing spot happens come April, I think Chargers fans should be ecstatic.
