Former San Francisco 49ers All-Pro linebacker NaVorro Bowman is joining the Chargers coaching staff as their linebackers coach. He played for Harbaugh in San Fran.
Bowman reunites with his former coach, who he had plenty of success with during his playing career. The former Niners LB was one of the top linebackers of the 2010s and will provide quite a spark to the Chargers defense as a coach.
Bowman spent last season with Maryland as a defensive analyst. This will be his first gig in the pros, but Harbaugh is confident in him. He played for the 49ers for all four years when Harbaugh was their head coach. Bowman totaled nine tackles in their Super Bowl XLVII loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
