The Los Angeles Chargers are busy trying to find their next general manager and head coach. They've held many interviews for both positions, and that will continue in the coming days.
On Monday, they completed arguably their most intriguing GM interview so far.
The Chargers interviewed NFL Chief Football Administrative Officer Dawn Aponte for their general manager opening.
She's the highest-ranking female executive in the NFL.
Right now, Aponte works as the league's main contributor for driving Football Operations objectives, facilitating communication, and management of day-to-day operations. She has created relationships with a plethora of executives around the league, including owners and team presidents.
Before working in the league office, she spent time with the Miami Dolphins organization. She also has experience with the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns.
Aponte is a highly-qualified individual that could break barriers if hired to the GM role for the Chargers.
