The Los Angeles Chargers are keeping a star player in the building. Joey Bosa was in recent reports regarding the Chargers' trade block. He is not going to get moved this offseason.
Instead, Bosa and the Chargers agreed to a contract restructure to lower his 2024 cap hit.
The details of the cap relief from his new deal have not been released yet.
For Bosa, he no longer has to worry about joining a new defense. For LA, they do not have to replace him. EDGE would have emerged as a top need if they moved off of Bosa.
The Chargers restructured the contract of veteran pass rusher Khalil Mack, too. He outproduced the prior last season, but Los Angeles is hoping for a bounce back campaign from Bosa.
