The Los Angeles Chargers traded away fan favorite in Keenan Allen during this offseason. It was a tough blow for a fan base who had seen Allen dominate for a decade in powder blue.
Now, LA must find a way to replace his production. You cannot simply replace Allen as a personality and talent, but a recent national media mock draft had them landing the top wide receiver in this year's draft.
NFL insider Peter Schrager gave Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Chargers in his latest mock draft.
Coined "MHJ", the former Ohio State star is regarded as one of the top WR prospects of the past decade. His skillset is incredibly impressive, and he's not expected to get past the first six picks.
Some teams like Malik Nabers more than Harrison. Others may like Rome Odunze. But I think Harrison's ultimately the first receiver taken, and he would be a perfect match with both Justin Herbert and Jim Harbaugh.

Landing Harrison Jr. would be about as close to replacing Keenan Allen as you can get from a rookie wide receiver.
The selection would go against Adam Schefter's latest report that hints to a potential "trench" pick by Los Angeles in the first to improve upfront. If Harrison is on the board, he should be the pick, though.
He's an immediate impact pass catcher, and the Chargers already have one premier OT in Rashawn Slater. Adding a player like Joe Alt would be great, but pass catcher is a bigger need for the Chargers roster at the moment.
