The Los Angeles Chargers have been a bit quiet in free agency, and there's a good reason why. Well, it wasn't good at all. In other words, they were in cap hell. In the business, we call that not cap compliant, which is when your salary cap is not positive but instead negative.
So, with that, they were forced to release some guys, such as wide receiver Mike Williams. They didn't want to, but they almost had to.
Now, they have made other moves to help with the cap space. Defensive end, or edge rusher, however you would like to label him, Khalil Mack restructured his contract, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
They now have a bit of space to fill out their roster however they need. And, while it's pretty clear that Khalil Mack is staying, it's still up in the air what will happen with his running mate Joey Bosa.
