In the offseason, a team has up to 90 spots they can fill on their roster. This helps them evaluate every bit of talent possible. But then, before the first regular season game they must cut that down to 53. It's hard, but the Los Angeles Chargers should have an idea of the players they want on their roster.

After the players they have drafted and signed, it's clear the Chargers have already been busy. They have added a ton of guys that they think could have an impact on their roster.

They don't bring certain players in for no reason. They bring these guys in because they think there is a possibility they could make the team better. But sadly, not everyone makes it. But, there is one thing that teams do that gives them an extra player, and it doesn't count against the rules.

There is a program called the International Player Pathway Program that allows players overseas to get a shot at the NFL. The Chargers are participating in that by signing a player at a skill position.

On Tuesday, the Chargers signed Praise Olatoke, a wide receiver to help bolster the position that desperately needs some depth.

He doesn't count toward the 90-man roster as of right now, but if he makes the team, then during the regular season he would count toward the 53-man roster.
