Los Angeles Chargers add dynamic weapons to improving defense, and find OT insurance in latest 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft
Latest 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft gifts the Los Angeles Chargers a small but talented overall haul.
The Los Angeles Chargers are on a strong trajectory under head coach Jim Harbaugh, and there is a lot to be excited about heading into the future. This roster is one of the most complete in the NFL, but as always, things can always get better. With a few more improvements, this could be a Super Bowl-contending team for a long time.
In a recent 7-round 2026 NFL mock draft, the goal was to continue building up the Chargers’ defense. Aside from that mission, it was also about filling gaps on offense. Both were accomplished in a small but talented haul.
Round 1, Pick 26: David Bailey, EDGE, Stanford
The former Stanford standout has become an even more dominant player so far in 2025. Bailey will never be a major asset against the run, but he has huge traits as a pass rusher.
His combination of first-step quickness, burst, and bend is impressive. Bailey is also playing with more power in his profile than we saw previously.
Round 2, Pick 57: A’Mauri Washington, DT, Oregon
At 6-3, 330 pounds, Washington is a massive interior presence who is beginning to figure out just how good he can be. He is a scheme versatile player who can play from several different alignments.
If Washington continues developing properly, he can become a difference maker from the middle of a defense.
Round 3, Pick 92: Fa’alili Fa’amoe, OT, Wake Forest
When Fa’amoe was with Washington State, he had a ton of NFL Draft hype, but his 2024 season was limited by injury. He is a powerful offensive tackle with vice grips for hands.
Fa’amoe would provide some great depth behind Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater, and he could also play inside at guard. He has the look of a future starter at multiple spots.
Round 4, Pick 127: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo
There isn’t a better-kept secret in the defensive class than McNeil-Warren. There is a chance he becomes the third Toledo Rocket selected in the top-100 over the last three years, but he becomes a crazy value at that spot.
McNeil-Warren is a bigger safety who plays a tenacious style but is also a better coverage safety than some realize.
Round 6, Pick 205: John Michael Gyllenborg, TE, Wyoming
Gyllenborg hasn’t had the season most anticipated, but he is still a talented athlete. You won’t find a more explosive mover in the 2026 class in terms of pure long speed, but he needs to show he can stay available and consistent.
At this point in the draft, Gyllenborg is a nice bet to develop into an offensive weapon down the road.
