The Los Angeles Chargers moved on from head coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco during this past season.

Now, Telesco is getting another shot. He won't leave the AFC West, either. The Las Vegas Raiders plan to hire him as their new general manager.

Telesco joins a rival of the Chargers. He'll be the GM above first-time head coach Antonio Pierce in Vegas.

It was a surprising decision. Interim Champ Kelly had some momentum to become the full-time GM, but that does not seem to be the outcome anymore. They go in an experienced direction, instead.

Telesco built a couple of solid rosters with the Chargers, but some of his decisions were also quite questionable. The depth of his rosters in Los Angeles were often a weakness, and a couple of massive-salary deals did not work out in recent years.

The Raiders assuredly hope that he's learned his lesson when it comes to roster-building and staff decisions.
