With the news of the impending trade of Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Cooper Kupp, the organization is about to say goodbye to a building block who was instrumental for this team developing into one of the winningest teams over the last few seasons. Head coach Sean McVay and this staff still have the organization going in a great direction, but the formula is just going to look a little different moving forward.

The 2025 NFL Draft is going to be a huge opportunity to not only find a replacement for Kupp, but to continue plugging some holes in this roster. Answers were found during a recent 7-round mock draft, and Rams fans should be excited.

Round 1, Pick 26: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

With the recent Cooper Kupp news, the Rams are going to need to find a difference maker at wide receiver that can operate from the slot. That describes Egbuka perfectly. While he might not be as flashy as some other wide receivers in this class, he’s incredibly consistent and dependable.

Round 3, Pick 90: Mason Taylor, TE, LSU

Tyler Higbee did a lot of nice things for the Rams when get got back healthy, but injuries are shortening his career quickly. Someone like Mason Taylor would be a very welcomed addition to this Los Angeles offense, possessing a strong frame and underrated fluidity. It makes sense when you consider his NFL bloodlines.

Round 3, Pick 100: Demetrius Knight, LB, South Carolina

It became very apparent down the stretch that the Rams need to get a lot better on the second level. Knight is a potential day-one starter at middle linebacker. His combination of size, power, and range is impressive.

Round 4, Pick 126: Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas

Tough, scrappy, and tremendous short area movement skills, Bryant is one of the more underrated defensive backs in this class. If he falls to the fourth round due to size, you probably found a starter on Day Three. Don’t let the size fool you.

Round 6, Pick 192: Dont’e Thornton, WR, Tennessee

Betting on a 6-4+ frame with dynamite speed is a strong investment in the sixth round. The only thing Thornton does right now is run vertically, so the rest of his game is a work in progress. This is a long term investment, but could pay off handsomely.

Round 6, Pick 203; Jah Joyner, EDGE, Minnesota

EDGE isn’t a big need for the Rams, but you can never have enough pass rushers. From a physical perspective, Joyner seemingly has it all. Learning behind guys like Jared Verse and Byron Young could be huge for him.

Round 6, Pick 204: Joshua Gray, IOL, Oregon State

After playing multiple years at left tackle, Gray moved inside to guard in 2024. The interior looks like he’s home, and eventually fitting in at center wouldn’t be a bad option either. He has a clean frame and is a really smooth mover.
