The Professional Football Writers of America have released their 2024 All-Rookie Team, and have made their selections for Offensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Three Los Angeles Rams made the team – linebacker Jared Verse, defensive end Braden Fiske, and kick return specialist Jordan Whittington.

The Rams' three selections were the most of all teams in the NFL. Verse was also named PFWA's Defensive Rookie of the Year.

These are well-deserved honors for all three players. Verse is now the second Rams defender to win DPOTY from PFWA, joining future Hall of Fame DT Aaron Donald. During the 2024 regular season Verse recorded 66 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, 33 quarterback pressures, two forced fumbles, and two passes defensed. That performance was good enough for Verse to earn a Pro Bowl nod.

He also put up two sacks in a valiant effort during the Rams 28-22 divisional round playoff loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. As for Verse's fellow defender Fiske, he racked up 44 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, 22 QB pressures, and two forced fumbles. Fiske ended 2024 with at least one sack in each of his final four games.

Unfortunately, he exited the playoff game against the Eagles early due to a knee injury. Fiske and Verse are the first rookie duo in Rams history to each record a sack in the same postseason game, and the first to do it since Los Angeles Chargers DT Justin Jones and LB Uchenna Nwosu back in 2018.

Rounding out L.A.'s three All-Rookie selections is Whittington, who returned 16 kickoffs for 453 yards, an impressive average of 28.3 yards per return. He also contributed a bit on offense as a wide receiver, catching 22 passes on 28 targets for 293 yards. Whittington has an impressive blend of size (6-foot-1) and speed (4.4 40-yard dash).
