The Los Angeles Rams' most impactful addition comes at a position already loaded with talent
When looking at the most tacked position on the Rams roster, it is the running back room.
Though the Los Angeles Rams already have a talented running back in Kyren Williams, the team's most impactful offseason addition may be a player already in that same position.
The Rams selected running back Blake Corum in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Corum doesn't have elite size, but he presents a different style that, when added to the backfield with Williams, could look lethal to opposing teams in the NFC West.
Ryan Fowler of Bleacher Report recently provided a list of his best offseason additions by each team in the NFL. For Fowler, Corum represents everything the Rams backfield needs to pair with Williams.
"While Corum doesn't have elite size or long speed, the reigning national champion is a fleet-footed ball carrier with the contact balance and elite vision to challenge for carries in L.A," Fowler writes.
"Fellow rookie edge-rusher Jared Verse and 3-technique Braden Fiske should make an early impact with the Rams as well."
In college, Corum broke the century mark twice. He was the engine behind a Michigan offense that finally broke through and won a national championship in his final season.
Come his arrival to Los Angeles, he will be used in short-burst roles, sparring lead runner Williams a few blows. It is a win-win situation.
The excitement about Corum is warranted. With Williams, though the Rams already have a lead running back, he is worth being excited about for the Los Angeles faithful.
