The year-round NFL calendar offseason is now fully in its next phase with the NFL schedule release finally here.

A trip to the playoffs last season ended too quickly for the Los Angeles Rams. Now in the post-Aaron Donald era, L.A. is looking to build off a Wild Card berth and challenge the San Francisco 49ers for NFC West supremacy.

So, let's not waste any more time and go over what the Rams' 2024 regular season schedule looks like.

Biggest Games on the Rams' 2024 Schedule

Every divisional game: The NFC West has rounded into a fiercely competitive division. The Rams finished second in the division behind the eventual NFC champion 49ers. Staying ahead of the Seahawks and Cardinals in the division race again is imperative.

Rams at Lions: Who's up for round two? This game came down to the wire in the NFC Wild Card round back in January, and it could be Matthew Stafford's last chance to beat his former team on their home turf. The Lions are also a very good team, so notching a win here would be great in of itself.

Rams vs. Dolphins: We're going to go over the multiple layers of revenge in a minute, but a new-look Rams defense against Mike McDaniel's high-powered offense should be one fun game.

Primetime Games and Streaming Service Broadcasts

Which games will be primetime viewing?

L.A. only had two primetime games last season, but following a run to the playoffs, that number has been bumped to five.

To start, Rams-Lions is back on Sunday Night Football in Week 1. This matchup drew massive ratings in the playoffs and the storylines are pretty much the same. Stafford going back into Ford Field looking for that W is must-see TV.

One of Sean McVay's understudies is coming to SoFi Stadium for a Thursday Night Football battle. The Vikings, coached by former Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell, will battle McVay and the Rams in Week 8.

Jalen Ramsey's return to L.A. will be broadcasted on Monday Night Football when the Rams host the Dolphins in Week 11.

Another conference foe on the docket will be the Eagles, who come to Inglewood in Week 12 right before Thanksgiving. The Rams will be looking to stop the Tush Push in its tracks on Sunday Night Football.

Rams-49ers appeared to be lopsided following the 2018 season with the Niners taking six-straight contests, but the Rams have won two of the last five, including the NFC title game from two years ago. This matchup is back under the lights for Thursday Night Football for the Week 15 showdown in Santa Clara.

Which games will you need streaming services to watch?

Thankfully, the only streaming service Rams fans will need is Amazon Prime Video, as both Thursday Night Football games will be broadcasted there.

Strength of Schedule (based off Vegas win totals, not 2023 record)

Instead of ranking strength of schedule by last year's records, Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis bases his rankings on Vegas' projected win totals for the upcoming season. This methodology allows for a more accurate projection of how good teams are expected to be for the season.

Sharp has the Rams' SOS right in the middle as the seventeenth-easiest. The entire NFC West is near the middle of the pack, as pictured below:

Revenge Games on the Rams' 2024 schedule

  • We'll see you in Detroit: If it needs to be said a third time, the Rams took an L to Jared Goff and the Lions in the playoffs in front of fans that used to call Stafford their hero. On top of all of that, Jonah Jackson is the latest former Lion to become a Ram. Another revenge angle!
  • Not one, but two former Rams in South Beach: A year after Jalen Ramsey was traded to the Miami Dolphins, Odell Beckham Jr. just signed a one-year deal to join him. Both players won a ring with the Rams back in 2021, now they may face each other on the field in this matchup.

5 Must-watch Matchups

  • Matthew Stafford vs. Vikings' aggressive defense: Very few defensive coordinators cook up more blitzes than Brian Flores in Minnesota. As Stafford grows older, defensive play-callers will be testing his ability to handle pressure. The Vikings added Jonathan Greenard to replace Danielle Hunter at edge defender.
  • Puka Nacua vs. Sauce Gardner: Expectations will be above the atmosphere for Nacua entering his second season. How he fares against one of the game's best shutdown cornerbacks will be a great showcase of his growth.
  • Cooper Kupp vs. Cooper DeJean/Chauncey Gardner-Johnson: Kupp will be looking to re-establish himself as one of the game's best wideouts following an injury-riddled year. The Eagles added DeJean to play all over the secondary much like CGJ can. One of the two would be their answer to contain Kupp.
  • Jared Verse vs. Penei Sewell: Verse was the first of two Florida State pass rushers the Rams drafted this year as they now carry on without Aaron Donald. His battle against Sewell will be perhaps his toughest as a rookie coming off the left edge of the defensive line.
  • Darious Williams vs. D.K. Metcalf: The Rams added Williams back to their defense after a two-year separation, and they'll need him to stop the guy who put up 141 yards and two touchdowns on them last season. Metcalf is always a threat regardless of his matchup.
