Rams starting tackle Alaric Jackson is dealing with blood clots
Jackson has spent his entire four-year career with the Rams, and he has played both tackle positions for the team in that span. He began his career as a depth player but has started 35 games over the past three seasons, 29 of which have come over the past two. That number would be larger, but he had to miss time in 2022 due to suffering blood clots.
Unfortunately, it appears that the issue has reappeared, which puts his status for this season in question, as he needs to focus on getting that regulated going forward. The Rams moved quickly to add depth on their offensive line, just in case Jackson is forced to miss time by signing D.J. Humphries. The former first-round pick has started 100 games in his NFL career. He would most likely be given the keys to their LT spot for as long as Jackson needs to recover and figure out the best way to prevent this issue in the future, not just for his football career, but for his overall well-being first and foremost.
