MOBILE, AL — If you’re concerned about the Miami Dolphins‘ pass rush, you should be.

The Dolphins’ outlook on the edge of the defense is a major question. Second-year pass rusher Chop Robinson was invisible for too much of the season. Jaelan Phillips was traded to Philadelphia at the 2025 trade deadline. And Bradley Chubb could, potentially, be a cap casualty. The numbers game on the edge is, well, it’s not great. There are more questions than answers here. But for a team that is pledging under new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan to build through the NFL Draft, Tuesday was a great day. The pass rushers were cookin’ at both practices for the 2026 Panini Senior Bowl.

In watching both the National & American practices, it truly was stunning to see just how many pass rushers were on my list of the standouts and “winners” of the college All-Star game’s practices. The Senior Bowl is considered the marquee event in the All-Star circuit for draft prospects. And if this is the best that this draft has to offer, Miami should be able to find some impact rushing the passer.

The names that stood out off the edge are plentiful. Clemson’s T.J. Parker, Penn State’s Dani Dennis-Sutton, Illinois’ Gabe Jacas, Missouri’s Zion Young, Michigan’s Derrick Moore, and Florida’s Tyreak Sapp all stood out for portions of their respective practices. Moore had the rep of the day, burying Miami Hurricanes OT Markel Bell with a power rush right down the middle that put the mammoth lineman on his back.

I thought Parker was consistently good in the first practice of the day, too. He entered the season as a projected top-20 draft choice but was mysteriously quiet from a production standpoint. Parker looked healthy and at full strength, utilizing impressive length and hand accuracy to break down blocks and keep himself out of the grip of blockers.

Not to be outdone, Jacas was dominant in the American practice, which followed as the second of the day. He was a demon. Team periods, one-on-ones, you name it. I was impressed with how slippery Jacas was in all phases.

Parker entered this week projected as a fringe top-40 player on the latest A to Z Sports big board update, which posted today. Jacas was ranked 80th, meaning he could possibly be in play with Miami’s first of three third-round picks if his stock holds as it currently is projected. Penn State’s Dennis-Sutton, another winner from the day, ranked 44th. Missouri’s Young was ranked 60th.

All were winners on this day. And for a team that needs all the pass rush help they can get, that many standouts is a nice start to the job that lies ahead this offseason for the Dolphins on the edge.
