The roster is in great shape going into the 2025 season thanks to the work of general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. It's as healthy as it's been in years, and it projects well moving forward.
In the last installment of the rankings before we hit the final 53-man roster, the best UDFAs take center stage.
60. OT Logan Brown
The Vikings have kept eight UDFAs during the tenure of general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. So far, all of them have been on the defensive side of the football, but this could be the year they get one on offense.
Brown is one of the better UDFA signings that the Vikings have landed, as he was 143rd on Arif Hasan's consensus board. Why did he go undrafted out of Kansas? It was likely because he got kicked out of Wisconsin for allegedly beating up a teammate. Now, as a talent, Brown was a five-star recruit and the top offensive tackle in his recruiting class. With OT4 being up for grabs, Brown being that guy isn't out of the question.
59. EDGE Tyler Batty
As mentioned above, eight UDFAs have made the initial 53-man roster, and Batty might have the best chance of all of them for two reasons:
- He plays defense
- Five of the eight UDFAs played edge rusher
Batty is already 26 years old, as he spent six years in school after serving a two-year Mormon mission, which is very common for players who attend BYU. He has really good size at nearly 6'6 and 275 lbs. with a great strength profile and excellent run defense. There isn't a lot of potential when it comes to rushing the passer, but the one thing that works to his advantage is the versatility to kick inside.

Another UDFA could make an early impact for the Vikings
58. QB Brett Rypien
Quarterback is very interesting for the Vikings, as they have their guy in McCarthy, but the following three spots aren't set in stone at all. Rypien is a player that head coach Kevin O'Connell raved about last year when they brought him in instead of keeping Jaren Hall around after the initial 53-man roster. Rypien was a good asset to the Vikings in the meeting room, but is likely going to be the third quarterback. He will have to beat out rookie Max Brosmer, who the Vikings really like.
Kevin O’Connell’s next project for the Minnesota Vikings has a skill set perfect for his offense
The next entrant in Kevin O’Connell’s QB school has all the tools to thrive
57. TE Ben Yurosek
The third tight end spot is likely to be held by a rookie, but only one of the three rookie options was drafted, and that is the guy right after Yurosek in Bartholomew. What Yurosek does have is dual-threat ability as both a receiver and a blocker. When he was at Stanford before transferring to Georgia, many believed that Yurosek would end up being a top pick in the NFL Draft. That didn't happen, but there is something there with Yurosek, and he feels like the perfect type of player to be developed as the number-three tight end.
56. TE Gavin Bartholomew
Despite Yurosek's profile, Bartholomew is more likely to make the roster. Why? He was the one drafted and provides something different in the tight end room. Bartholomew is more of an H-back, or move tight end, and has four years of starting experience at Pitt. Having something different to offer in the room can give you an advantage. If he goes into training camp healthy (something he wasn't during mandatory minicamp), he's got the edge to make the roster.
