The Minnesota Vikings know how to identify wide receiver talent and got an incredible value when they selected Justin Jefferson with the 22nd pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
On Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, Jefferson broke future Hall of Fame wide receiver Torry Holt's record of 6,784 receiving yards in the first five seasons of a career.
What makes this more impressive is that Jefferson did this in just 70 games while Holt needed 80 games to accomplish it. Sure, the eras are different, but Holt played on one of the most dynamic passing offenses of all-time in the Greatest Show on Turf.
Jefferson's been incredible this season for the Vikings. No matter the situation, he's impacted the game in a major way. Against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, he's caught multiple passes over 20 yards and bailed quarterback Sam Darnold out of some tough situations. He's also drawing coverage toward him, allowing the likes of Jordan Addison to get open.
This isn't the first, nor will it be the last record that Jefferson is the owner of.
