The Minnesota Vikings have released their first injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the New York Jets and there are only five players listed.
- CB Akayleb Evans (illness): Did not practice
- TE Josh Oliver (wrist): Limited
- ILB Ivan Pace Jr. (ankle): Limited
- WR Brandon Powell (chest): Limited
- QB Sam Darnold (knee): Full
Thisis a significantly better injury report for the Vikings than they have had the last few weeks. It was especially great to see Pace back on the practice field. Head coach Kevin O'Connell said they hoped to get Pace back for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Evans was a new add to the injury report with an illness. Oliver and Darnold are holdovers from last week's injury report and they both played on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers with no issue. Powell ended up getting hurt at the end of the second quarter and did return, but his absence was a part of why the muffed punt by Jalen Nailor happened.
The Jets also have five players on the injury report, including starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
- RT Morgan Moses (knee): Did not practice
- LT Tyron Smith (rest): Did not practice
- LB C.J. Mosley (toe): Limited
- QB Aaron Rodgers (knee): Limited
- DT Leki Fotu (hamstring): Full
Everyone will be keeping an eye on the injury report, especially for Rodgers' progress. Right now, it's not expected that he will miss the game, but you never know.
