The Minnesota Vikings have a tough road test on Sunday afternoon against the division rival Green Bay Packers. If the Vikings get a much-needed win, they will keep their playoff hopes alive. If they lose, a lot of the focus will turn to both the NFL Draft and the development of quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

Both sides have been dealing with injuries all year long, and it’s hindered them from winning multiple games. Thursday’s injury report saw one player added and multiple changes.

Observations

  • Head coach Kevin O’Connell reported that Greenard and Kelly would be back on the practice field. We saw Greenard improve to limited on Thursday, with Kelly remaining at a full participant.
  • Fries also showed improvement by being limited. Having the projected starting offensive line play on Sunday would be huge for the Vikings.
  • No real areas of concern with both Jones and Darrisaw. This has been something we’ve seen regularly for the last few weeks, especially with Darrisaw not practicing on Thursday.

Observations

  • This is a really long list, but the biggest players on the list on Parsons and Love. Neither player saw a change in their status, and both are very likely to play on Sunday.
  • The top five wide receivers for the Packers are all on the injury report, and none of them saw a change. Melton, who is a former wide receiver turned cornerback.
