The New England Patriots will host one of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft on a top-30 visit.

NFL Insider Albert Breer reports that Penn State Edge Abdul Carter will be in Foxborough on Monday. This is the last of his four top-30 visits, having already spent time with the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants, who have the first, second, and third pick respectively.

Carter and Colorado wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter are considered the two best players in the draft. However, the Titans are in need of a quarterback, so it's all but certain they will be selecting Miami quarterback Cam Ward. As for the Browns, in recent days it seems that they are leaning towards taking Hunter.

The Giants are what remains a question. They brought in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason, solving their quarterback problem. Before, many thought they would take Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, but that's not so certain anymore. If they decide to go in the non-quarterback direction, the expectation is they will take Carter.

But if not, he will fall to the Patriots and could join New England next season.

Carter proved to be an elite pass rusher in college, with many comparing him to fellow Penn State alum Micah Parsons.

“What separates them, but is always going to make them two different, is they’re probably the only two guys in the league that I can think of at this moment that can play multiple positions at a high level,” Lance Deane, a personal trainer who has worked with Parsons and Carter, told Sports Illustrated. “They’re both freak athletes.

“I think one of the reasons that you can stamp that they’re very similar is that they both have the ability to play multiple positions at a high level in the NFL. And there’s not a lot of guys that you can say that about. It’s deeper than them being good pass rushers.”

If this is the case, the Patriots decision at four will be easy if Carter is still there. And it will add another piece to Mike Vrabel's impressive defensive additions.
