Derek Carr is not worrying about Alvin Kamara's new deal

Carr was asked about Kamara's holdout due to a desired new deal. He had the perfect response. He's not in the business of talking about another man's finances.

"My dad always told me you don't put your hand in another man's pocket." — Carr

Carr cannot focus on the negotiations that are probably ensuing right now. He must focus on continuing to improve in Klint Kubiak's offense that he brought to New Orleans this offseason. From all accounts, Carr has been impressive during practice between OTAs and mandatory minicamp.

The Saints QB also made sure to compliment his RB

"God blessed him with those first three steps; they're just different from everybody else." — Carr on Kamara

He's not wrong. Kamara's pace and patience are amongst the best ever seen in the NFL.

The running back is nearly thirty, but there is plenty of good football ahead of him. That being said, the Saints do have Kendre Miller and Jamaal Williams behind him on the depth chart. We will see if their solid depth sways the Saints one way or another when it comes to extending Kamara.

If they can get a new deal done with him, Carr will definitely be a happy man. Regardless, he's focused on the correct things right now.
