The New Orleans Saints won't know exactly how much cap space they will have to find until later in the offseason. That being said, they currently hold the biggest cap deficit in the NFL. They must make moves to become cap compliant.

Accordingly, they've made another move to restructure a top player's contract. The Saints converted Pro Bowl center Erik McCoy's salary and roster bonus to open up $7.18 million in 2024 cap space.

McCoy will be in the fold for multiple more seasons for New Orleans. He is their top offensive lineman when you consider long-term stability.

Expect plenty more restructures to veteran contracts in order for the Saints to dig themselves out of their salary cap hole. An annual occurrence has commenced once again for the black and gold.
