The Giants should go all-in on this Ravens free agent to reunite with John Harbaugh in New York for 2026 that would help Jaxson Dart
John Harbaugh needs to get this upcoming Ravens free agent to come to the New York Giants this offseason
Oftentimes, when teams hire new head coaches, a number of their former players follow them to their new team. With John Harbaugh taking over the New York Giants, there are several talented former Ravens who could be in the mix in free agency this offseason.
Harbaugh was a highly regarded coach whom many of his former players love, making it even easier for the Giants to steal key starters. Of those who are unrestricted free agents, let’s take a look at who could be on the radar.
2026 Offensive Free Agents
- C Tyler Linderbaum
- FB Patrick Ricard
- TE Charlie Kolar
- TE Isaiah Likely
- WR DeAndre Hopkins
- WR Tylan Wallace
- LT Joseph Noteboom
- G Daniel Faalele
The one name that pops immediately is former first-round pick center Tyler Linderbaum. The Ravens recently declined his fifth-year option last offseason, making him an unrestricted free agent. The Giants have had significant inconsistency from their offensive line and from their center, John Michael-Schmitz.
Linderbaum’s option being declined had nothing to do with performance but more with the price of the extension. Hopefully, they don’t attempt to franchise tag him, and the Giants can take a run. Linderbaum would easily elevate the Giants’ offensive line at a core position that could transform the entire unit.
The second name that is alluring is tight end Isaiah Likely, who has emerged as a weapon for the Ravens as their second tight end. Likely has the athleticism to be a productive starting tight end in the league with the right opportunity. While Theo Johnson has shown flashes, adding Likely would make their tight end room dangerous.
Aside from those two, other players on that list would likely be depth pieces for the Giants. A player like Daniele Faalele could be interesting to bring in as competition at guard, depending on the price tag.
2026 Defensive Free Agents
- EDGE Dre’Mont Jones
- S Alohi Gilman
- EDGE Kyle Van Noy
- S Ar’Darius Washington
- EDGE David Ojabo
- CB Chibode Awuzie
- LB Jake Hummel
The list of defensive options from the Ravens is less intriguing because two of them are EDGE players the Giants don’t have space for. Additionally, who even knows how much football Kyle Van Noy has left at 34?
Alohi Gillman is the one player who could be worth considering, but it’s unclear how he’d fit in the Giants’ defensive backfield. The safety group was a liability, but much of that was due to Tyler Nubin underperforming at the strong safety position. Gilman is a versatile defensive back who could be pliable depending on who the Giants hire as defensive coordinator. Having someone who is a reliable starter, especially at safety, is something the Giants need.
