Before Monday Night Football spiraled into an outright disaster for the New York Giants, they attempted to run the infamous "Tush Push" play on fourth and one early in the first quarter in enemy territory. It's safe to say it did not pan out.

Despite the Giants having three men ready to push Daniel Jones forward, the Seattle Seahawks (not really known for having a top-tier defensive line) absolutely stuffed the Giants short. The only thing that could've made the whole sequence worse is what head coach Brian Daboll admitted to on Monday.

The Giants suffered two injuries on the unsuccessful attempt. Tight end Daniel Bellinger injured his knee and center John Michael Schmitz banged up his shoulder. Daboll confessed the team has walked through the play but doesn't actually practice it.

There's a lot to unpack here. First of all, not practicing the tush push makes some sort of sense. The play is already punishing enough on the players to risk more injuries out of regular season games. But it's clear the Philadelphia Eagles have success with it because they've mastered it, not just because they're strong up front.

The Giants need to get better across the board and now they've got even more offensive line injuries to worry about entering a short-ish week. They travel to Miami to face the high-scoring Dolphins in a noon game. The Buffalo Bills just smoked their defense but as of right now, the Giants are nowhere close to what the Bills are offensively.

For now, let's worry about the Giants getting there with enough linemen to play the game.
