While the chatter surrounding the Giants and Saquon Barkley is far from over, the offseason program has officially ended.
Before you know it, New York will be back on the grass, preparing for the regular season with the start of training camp.
But instead of previewing what's to come, let's take a look back at who were the winners and losers of the 2023 offseason.
Giants OTAs, Minicamp Winners
Parris Campbell, WR

Campbell came over from the Colts as a free-agent acquisition and has been the catalyst for what is a revamp of the wide receiver room. His deep-field threat is very notable, as the former Buckeye still has the elite speed that made him a highly anticipated draft pick.
Campbell has faced his fair share of injuries, but he plans to put that behind him in New York, along with the corners attempting to keep up with him.
Darren Waller, TE

Another offseason acquisition, Waller just being present shows why he has been one of the best tight ends in the league when he's on the field. He has an intimidating structure to go along with what we call "easy gas" to accelerate and push vertically.
Similar to Campbell, you hate to hedge your bet on the former Pro Bowler, but he has to overcome the injuries that have plagued his recent seasons.
Sterling Shepard, WR

One of the more reliable pass catchers that Daniel Jones has had during his time with New York, Shepard's ability to create plays is unquestioned, but his availability is the exact opposite.
Repordtely ahead of schedule in his ACL rehab, Shepard has looked quick, agile, and explosive this offseason, with clips eluding the suddenness that he has always had. If he can be full go come the start of the season, the WR corps only gets stronger.
Giants OTAs, Minicamp Losers
Saquon Barkley, RB

No matter what side you stand on when it comes to the Saquon saga, there is an obvious advantage to being with your teammates during this time of year, even if the tasks on the field are rudimentary.
Football takes chemistry, especially on offense where all 11 players have to be in sync at all times. Saquon is one the best weapons in the league and surely doesn't need to be at minicamp but bonding with your brothers never hurt anybody.
Jalin Hyatt, WR

The rookie third-rounder has created some mixed messaging coming out of the offseason, with reports of him both struggling, yet coming along at the pace the Giants have anticipated.
Hyatt will need to prove he is both physical enough and savvy enough to be a full-time wide receiver, but his elite deep speed will certainly place him in advantageous situations on Sundays.
Darnay Holmes, Nickel

Holmes has been the starter at slot corner or nickel during his time with the team but reports out of minicamp are that last year's rookie sensation Cor'Dale Flott is hot on his heels, with the two splitting first-team reps this offseason.
Flott is the cheaper of the two options and was a part of Daboll and Schoen's first-ever draft class, meaning he could have a leg up and be the one atop the depth chart come the season.
