The New York Jets took a big blow on Monday night when they lost future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers to a season ending Achilles injury just moments into the game. Since then, the speculation on whether or not the Jets would try to bring in another quarterback has run rampant.

On Tuesday morning, NFL Insider Dianna Russini confirmed that the Jets have been reaching out to veteran quarterbacks. One interesting name that popped up was former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Kaepernick's agent has been in contact with the Jets.

Kaepernick got blacked balled by the NFL after peacefully protesting police brutality and he's struggled to find a team ever since. Kaepernick reached a settlement with the league in February of 2019 and the NFL set up a tryout with him, although that try out was a little sketchy on the NFL side of things.

He's been working out ever since he played his last down in the NFL and he's looked decent in what we've seen. The Jets could be an interesting landing spot for him.

Whether or not there's any chance to this remains to be seen. Kaepernick is 35 years old and hasn't played an NFL game since 2016. We've seen stranger things in sports tough.
