It's still a bit unbelievable that the Detroit Lions will be going into this season without their All-Pro center Frank Ragnow. The guy was such a big part of what the Lions' culture and success have been for so long. Now they have to look to the future.

The likelihood is strong that the Lions will shift Graham Glasgow in from the guard spot and then start second-round pick Tate Ratledge and last year's late-round pick Christian Mahogany at the guard spots. Ratlegde taking over center in the future is certainly an option as well. The Lions are already working him in for reps there.

AtoZ Sports' Wendell Ferreiram, who covers the Packers and helps out on the Jets, suggests that the Lions could call up their old friend Aaron Glenn and make a deal for center Josh Myers.

"Back in March, the Jets signed former Green Bay Packers starting center Josh Myers to a one-year, $2 million contract. The deal also includes $1.5 million in incentives, but only $1 million of it is likely to be earned — which means Myers' cap hit in 2025 is $3 million.

Myers is certainly not the prospect the Packers projected when they took him over Creed Humphrey in the second round of the draft in 2021, but the lack of a market for him in free agency was surprising to a certain extent.

The center was a capable starter and played 3,479 snaps throughout his rookie contract for the Packers. Last year, he allowed only one sack, 29 total pressures. According to PFF, he had a decent 64.9 pass blocking grade and a 52.2 run block grade."

Glasgow can play center. We've seen him do it before, but Myers is arguably a much better route to go, even if he's not an elite center or anything like that. He's someone who can play the position better than Glasgow and has demonstrated that.

So what would this deal look like? Since this would be the Jets trading away their backup center, it's not going to be much at all. Here's the proposal:

Lions get: Josh Myers
Jets get: 2026 7th-round pick

There you go, super easy. The Lions give away a late-round pick for a starting center, and they don't have to foot a big bill to do it. This seems like a great move to make if you ask me. It's one the Lions should have on their radar.
