2024 NFL Trade Deadline Tracker

DT Khalil Davis, Houston Texans > San Francisco 49ers

49ers get: Khalil Davis
Texans get: 2026 7th-round pick

Nicholas McGee, 49ers writer: The San Francisco 49ers left it late to address a glaring need on the defensive line, beating the buzzer to acquire defensive tackle Khalil Davis from the Houston Texans. The 49ers have clearly been short of difference-makers on the interior without Hargrave, and Davis ticks the boxes of what they typically look for in defensive linemen. Davis boasts that kind of athletic ability while weighing in at 310 pounds, with his heft sure to appeal greatly to a team that has regularly struggled to defend interior runs that have regularly seen the 49ers' defensive tackles blown off the ball by double teams.

CB Tre'Davious White, Los Angeles Rams > Baltimore Ravens

  • Ravens get: Tre'Davious White, 2027 7th-round pick
  • Rams get: 2026 7th-round pick

The Ravens add a depth piece to the secondary for basically nothing. The Rams had already given up on White, so they clear up some cap space.

EDGE Preston Smith, Green Bay Packers > Pittsburgh Steelers

Steelers get: Preston Smith
Packers get: 2025 7th-round pick

Wendell Ferreira, Packers writer: By doing that move, Green Bay opens up around $2 million in cap space in 2024. The big savings are in the future, with the Packers clearing up $7.6 million in 2025, $18.207 million in 2026, and $1.667 million in a void year in 2027. Green Bay has $12.083 million in dead money in 2024 and $9.881 million in 2025. Beyond the money factor, the only positive for the Packers is that their young edge rushers will have more snaps — especially former first-round pick Lukas Van Ness. The roster also has Kingsley Enagbare, Arron Mosby, and Brenton Cox Jr.

WR Mike Williams, New York Jets > Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Steelers get: Mike Williams
  • Jets get: 2025 5th-round pick

Rob Gregson, Pittsburgh Steelers writer: For Pittsburgh, when it was clear that they're top targets of Brandon Aiyuk and Davante Adams fell through, the team turned to Mike Williams as their next target, per league sources. Other than the draft compensation, which can be debated given your opinion on the value of a fifth-round picks, the move is a low-risk, high-reward type of transaction when analyzing the remaining salary for Williams and his potential upside as a deep threat.

CB Marshon Lattimore, New Orleans Saints > Washington Commanders

  • Commanders get: Marshon Lattimore, 2025 5th-round pick

  • Saints get: 2025 3rd-round pick, 2025 4th-round pick, Saints 2025 6th back (from the Hassan Ridgeway trade).

Wendell Ferreira, NFL writer: The move is particularly intriguing for two reasons. First, the compensation is not insignificant whatsoever, but the Commanders had an extra third-round pick after selling wide receiver Jahan Dotson to the Philadelphia Eagles back in August and the extra sixth from the Saints themselves. Second, because Lattimore is under contract through 2026.

WR Jonathan Mingo, Carolina Panthers > Dallas Cowboys

  • Cowboys get: Jonathan Mingo and a 2025 7th-round pick
  • Panthers get: 2025 4th-round pick

Mauricio Rodriguez, Dallas Cowboys writer: This is the Cowboys. For better or worse, they do things differently. Ultimately, although the Cowboys are "buying" here, this is a move with a focus on the future. The team's front office liked Mingo during the 2023 NFL Draft process and now it gets a chance to develop the young wideout starting now with hopes of cashing in on the move next year. In the meantime, they'll pay him on a rookie deal. In other words, it's a move that the team is certainly not pulling off in hopes of turning around the 2024 season.

RB Khalil Herbert, Chicago Bears > Cincinnati Bengals

  • Bengals get: Khalil Herbert
  • Bears get: 2025 7th-round pick

Kole Noble, Chicago Bears writer: Cincinnati quickly became one of the top teams in the sweepstakes to land Herbert after the team announced that running back Zack Moss would be out indefinitely with a neck injury. Herbert now joins the Bengals backfield that was dominated by Chase Brown in the team's Week 9 win. Herbert was phased out of the Bears' offense after the team signed D'Andre Swift to be the starter during the offseason and drafted Roschon Johnson last year in the fourth-round. The team also activated Travis Homer from the injured reserve on October 26th.

EDGE Za'Darius Smith, Cleveland Browns > Detroit Lions

Lions get: Za'Darius Smith and a 2026 7th-round pick
Browns get: 2025 5th-round and 2026 6th-round picks

Mike Payton, Detroit Lions writer: Smith is a big get for the Lions. The former Pro Bowler has been balling out this season and especially in the last few weeks. He has 26 pressures and 4.5 sacks this year, but 16 pressures and 1.5 of sacks have come in the last three games. He's been one of the big bright spots on the Browns defense.

EDGE Baron Browning, Denver Broncos > Arizona Cardinals

  • Cardinals get: Baron Browning
  • Broncos get: 2025 6th-round pick

Justin Churchill, AFC West writer: This now frees up space for the others Broncos players to develop, when Browning is going to continue to miss a chunk of games every season. Browning is in his fourth year and has played five games this season after playing just 10 last year. Now those young guys can flourish and develop better.

T Cam Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars > Minnesota Vikings

  • Vikings get: Cam Robinson and a conditional 2026 7th-round pick (it can go away based on playing time)
  • Jaguars get: conditional 2026 5th-round pick (it can go to a 4th based on playing time)

Tyler Forness, Minnesota Vikings beat writer: The Vikings needed to make a move of some kind at left tackle and they did open up a roster spot earlier on Tuesday. Robinson has been with the Jaguars since they selected him with the 34th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He started all 91 of the games he's played in but has missed some time with injury. Robinson played in just two games in 2018 and nine games in 2023.

WR Diontae Johnson, Carolina Panthers > Baltimore Ravens

  • Ravens get: Diontae Johnson, 2025 6th-round pick
  • Panthers get: 2025 5th-round pick

Sophie Weller, NFL writer: It hardly cost Baltimore anything, and now they get a player that could certainly help in a potential Super Bowl run. Plus, Carolina is still covering a portion of Johnson's contract. So far this season, Johnson has 30 receptions on 58 targets for 357 yards and three touchdowns.

EDGE Josh Uche, New England Patriots > Kansas City Chiefs

  • Chiefs get: Josh Uche
  • Patriots get: 2026 6th-round pick

Charles Goldman, Chiefs writer: I'm told this move is two-fold for Kansas City but that it mostly has to do with injuries. With the injury to DE Mike Danna, the Chiefs needed to add another edge rusher. Danna has missed the past two games with a pectoral injury and has missed three games so far this season. They also seem to believe that improving the pass rush will help a secondary that will now rely on some younger and inexperienced cornerbacks.

LB Ernest Jones IV, Tennessee Titans > Seattle Seahawks
LB Jerome Baker, Seattle Seahawks > Tennessee Titans

  • Seahawks get: Ernest Jones IV
  • Titans get: Jerome Baker, 2025 4th-round pick

Travis May, A to Z Sports College Football Managing Editor: The Titans had just acquired Ernest Jones IV and a 2026 6th round pick for a 2026 5th round pick in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams prior to the start of the season, so this move might come as a shock to some, but it makes great sense. Carthon immediately turning Ernest Jones IV into another linebacker (Jerome Baker) and a conditional 4th round pick is an immediate win for the Titans in trade value and it doesn't hurt their future prospects either. Jones was set to become a free agent after this year, so the Titans could not likely keep him either way.

WR DeAndre Hopkins, Tennessee Titans > Kansas City Chiefs

  • Chiefs get: DeAndre Hopkins
  • Titans get: 2025 conditional 5th-round pick (it can go to a 4th)

Wendell Ferreira, NFL writer: The Chiefs had incredible bad luck at wide receiver, since both Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown got hurt. Right now, JuJu Smith-Schuster and rookie Xavier Worthy were the most reliable options outside of Travis Kelce, but Mahomes needed more. And a team in this type of championship window can't lose any time.

For the Titans, it's an understanding of where they are as a franchise. It's a step into the direction of the future, getting some draft capital and cap relief for a player that probably won't be good when the Titans have a chance to be.

WR Davante Adams, Las Vegas Raiders > New York Jets

  • Jets get: Adams
  • Raiders get: 2025 conditional 3rd-round pick (goes to a second if Adams is an All-Pro or as active for the AFCCG or Super Bowl)

Mike Antoniou, Jets writer: Adams is still one of the better receivers in the NFL. He may not be as dominant as he was closing in on his 32nd birthday, but he is still a matchup nightmare. His connection with Aaron Rodgers is scary. They two were constantly on the same page and think alike based on the coverage they are shown and adjust accordingly without saying a word.

Justin Churchill, Raiders writer: while it may seem like the Raiders lost the trade because they got at worst a third round pick, they kind of won this trade, at least for their situation. They get his contract off the books, and they get a pick. All of that is much better than the direction the trade seemed to be heading to.

WR Amari Cooper, Cleveland Browns > Buffalo Bills

  • Bills get: Cooper, 2025 6th-round pick
  • Browns get: 2025 3rd-round pick, 2026 7th-round pick

Jon Helmkamp, Bills writer: Brandon Beane is swinging for the fences without having to give up much. It's like someone walking up to you and handing you a penny and saying "if you bet on this, you could win a million dollars." So, you put the penny on the bet. If you don't win, you're only out a penny. If you win, you win big.

RB Cam Akers, Houston Texans > Minnesota Vikings

  • Vikings get: Akers, 2026 7th-round pick
  • Texans get: 2026 conditional 6th-round pick

Tyler Forness, Vikings writer: The Vikings needed to add some depth at the running back position for the rest of the season. Aaron Jones is currently week-to-week with a hip injury and Ty Chandler hasn't quite shown the ability to be trusted in a full-time basis as the starting running back. The benefit of bringing in a player like Akers over someone with more upside is the continuity.

DT Roy Robertson-Harris, Jacksonville Jaguars > Seattle Seahawks

  • Seahawks get: Robertson-Harris
  • Jaguars get: 2026 3rd-round pick

Adam Holt, NFL writer: He will come in and make an immediate impact for Seattle, due to injuries upfront on the defensive side of the football. The Seahawks are also 27th in the league when it comes to rushing yards allowed per game. Expect the veteran to play a role in trying to improve that sector of the defensive unit.
