The Green Bay Packers have a chance to make some NFL history in December.

And based on the schedule, there's absolutely no reason why should they fail.

The Packers' win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night was Green Bay's 16th straight win in December (Matt LaFleur is an unbelievable 16-0 in December in his career as a head coach).

Green Bay's 16 straight wins in December is the second-longest streak in NFL history according to CBS Sports. The longest December winning streak in NFL history belongs to the Chargers, which won 18 straight games in December from 2006 to 2009. That means LaFleur and company need to win their next three games to make some NFL history.

The Packers' have four games remaining this month. And their next three games are very winnable. Green Bay will take on the New York Giants, who have struggled this season, on the road next Monday night. The Packers then play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Lambeau Field before facing the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte on Christmas Eve.

Those are all games that Green Bay should win. And with the Packers suddenly in contention for a playoff spot, we should see the best version of Green Bay down the stretch.

Ultimately, making the playoffs is the Packers' main goal. But making some NFL history along the way is a fun subplot to the final stretch of the season for Green Bay.
