The strong bond between Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce is evident and is why the duo have so much success on the field.
So when Kelce started dating Taylor Swift, with the singer also beginning to attend Kansas City Chiefs games, and it was inevitable that Mahomes and Swift would meet.
While Mahomes has always made it clear that he is a fan of Swift, his latest comment on her presence at games this season is truly the cherry on top.
Everyone knows that Swift's favorite number is 13, so the Chiefs quarterback was asked if his favorite number has changed.
"[13] is not my favorite number, but it worked for us this week," Mahomes started by saying on SportsCenter on Monday night. "And it will have a special place in my heart for sure."
Swift and Kelce's relationship went public on Sept. 24 when the singer attended her first Chiefs game, sitting next to Donna Kelce. And she really got into the game, caught on camera screaming "Let's f****** go," after Kelce score a touchdown.
After that game, Mahomes was asked about when he found out that Swift was going to be there, and even threw in a special quote about his motivation to get Kelce the ball.
"I heard she was in the house," Mahomes said. "I felt a little bit of pressure and so I knew I had to get it to Travis (Kelce). And of course, it was on a route where Travis, he just does his own thing and makes up a route and I throw it to him. I think he wanted to get into the end zone, just as much as all the Swifties wanted him to."
It was a true wingman moment.
And the two were pictured leaving Arrowhead Stadium together later, further confirming that they are together.
Swift continued to go to most of the games this season, whether they were home or away. And she has been there for all the ups and downs of the Chiefs season. Most recently was there as they all got to celebrate the best moment.
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, along with Kelce and Swift were certainly having a good time celebration.
So with that, she has truly become a staple of this Chiefs squad and Mahomes appreciates it.
