We already looked at the best Round 1, Round 2, and Round 3 draft targets that the Philadelphia Eagles should look at selecting.
Now, we'll take a look at some of the best Day 3 draft targets the Birds could be eyeing with one of their Round 5 or Round 6 picks.
The Eagles have five of nine selections to make on Day 3:
- 5th round – 159th overall pick
- 5th round – 169th overall pick
- 5th round – 170th overall pick
- 5th round – 177th overall pick
- 6th round – 188th overall pick
Here are a few of the best prospects that are projected to go in the laters rounds who fit the Eagles' needs.
Tommy Eichenberg, LB Ohio State
Eichenberg led the Buckeyes in total tackles in back-to-back seasons with 80 in 2023 and 120 in 2023. He totaled 266 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble in his four seasons at Ohio State.
Eichenberg is not only known for his hard-hitting run-stopping skills but also for his great leadership skills in the locker room and high football IQ.
He's not the most athletic or strongest LB in the class, but he would be a great depth piece and an exceptional special team addition.
Jawhar Jordan, RB Louisville
Jordan didn't let a nagging hamstring injury keep him from achieving 1,128 yards and 13 touchdowns on 181 rushes, along with 21 catches for 246 yards and a touchdown in 2023.
For his elite efforts, the 5-foot-9, 172-pound all-purpose back was named Butkus-Fitgerald Linebacker of the Year, which is given to the top linebacker in the Big Ten.
The Eagles are going to be looking for a running back with Kenneth Gainwell the only active back set to return next fall and Jordan could be a quality choice.
Jordan's size could be a concern with breaking tackles but there's a chance he's gained more weight in time for the Combine, boosting his draft stock.
Gabe Hall, DT Baylor
Hall impressed at the Reese's Senior Bowl, which earned him an invite to the NFL Combine.
At 6-foot-5 and 290-pound, he has great size for the pro level and while he may not be the most explosive defensive tackle in this year's draft class, his strength saves him from getting pushed around.
Hall logged 77 total tackles and 12.5 sacks during his time with the Bears. His best year came in 2021 when he posted five sacks as the Bears went on to win the 12 Championship.
Beefing up the defensive line will be on the Eagles' list of things to do, especially since they're planning for life without Fletcher Cox.
