Philadelphia Eagles’ early training camp standout, Terrace Marshall Jr., was injured during the team’s first fully padded practice on Tuesday, July 29.
According to NBC Sports’ Dave Zangaro and several other reports, Marshall Jr. exited practice early with a leg injury.
Zangaro added that Marshall Jr. was able to walk off the field with the help of trainers.
Marshall Jr., who is competing for the wide receiver No. 3 spot, has been turning heads this offseason and even received some high praise from fellow wideout A.J. Brown.
“He’s coming along quite well,” Brown said. “Even in the spring, he was making a lot of catches. I know you guys didn’t see it, but he’s going to make the room very uncomfortable, you know? And that’s a great thing, you know? And I’m excited to see the room continue to evolve. Not just him, but everybody push each other, so I’m excited.”
As of now, there is no update from the Eagles on Marshall Jr.’s injury, but the hope is that it’s nothing serious.
Marshall Jr. was originally selected by the Carolina Panthers in the second round (59th overall) of the 2021 NFL draft. He saw action in 13 games as a rookie and recorded 17 receptions for 138 receiving yards. In his second season with the Panthers, Marshall reeled in 28 receptions for 490 receiving yards and one touchdown through 14 games.
Following a disappointing 2023 season where he hauled in 139 receiving yards and 19 receptions, Marshall Jr. was released by the Panthers. From there, he joined the San Francisco 49ers practice squad until he was waived in October and finished the 2024 season with the Raiders. He appeared in seven games with Las Vegas last season, recording three receptions for 41 yards.
The Eagles then signed him up on a one-year deal in April.

Jalen Hurts uses famous line from a WWII general when talking about ‘very challenging’ circumstances from Eagles training camp
It's been feeling like an oven in the City of Philadelphia. On Tuesday, temperatures hit a high of 97 degrees, though the humidity made it feel like 105. That is definitely not ideal for NFL training camp, especially when the pads come on. With it being so hot this week, the Philadelphia Eagles moved their […]
