The Pittsburgh Steelers could be hours or days away from adding a considerable receiving threat opposite of WR George Pickens.

But even if they do, it's clear that the team has to use early draft capital on a WR in the 2025 NFL Draft.

And after A to Z Sports dropped their latest mock on Tuesday, they're option at 18 may be an absolute steal:

Steelers Select Missouri WR Luther Burden III 18th overall in 2025 Mock Draft

If the Pittsburgh Steelers could take Luther Burden right now they surely would. Passing up at him on 18 would be a shock.

Maybe it's the fact that he too wears black and gold, or is of similar build and movement skills, but Luther Burden has uncanny similarities to Antonio Brown and even if he's half as good, he would be a huge upgrade to the Steelers' perimeter.

Tracks the ball well downfield. Has good body control and can break tackles. Probably best as a slot option. Not a burner but good speed. Would be the go to volume guy for whoever is at quarterback in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers tend to save their WR selections for the latter rounds, usually finding a sweet spot between picks 50 and 120. But even if George Pickens stays the course and follows up the rest of the season with what he did against the New York Jets on Sunday, there isn't a lot behind him to be bullish about.

We are about to reach the halfway point of the season and highly anticipated rookie WR Roman Wilson has played a total of five snaps, with Mike Tomlin telling the media on Tuesday that Wilson was a healthy scratch against Jets due to a lack of preparation rather than an actual injury

"No, um, you know, he missed some practice time because of the hammy," said Mike Tomlin when asked if Roman Wilson missed the New York Jets game because of a hamstring injury. "And as we've talked repeatedly in this setting, Roman needs to work for me to really consider him, his participation got compromised some last week, and so really, once it got compromised, I moved on."

So for Pittsburgh, doing everything they can to get better at WR has to be a priority both now and come the offseason, with Luther Burden III as a tremendous option.
