While the NFL playoffs may just be starting, winter weather in Buffalo, New York has been there for some months.

Typically, teams view home games with bad weather as an advantage.

But when analyzing the makeup of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills, it's easy to see why the forecasted weather plays right into Pittsburgh's hands:

Winter Weather

For the Steelers, what may be a large discrepancy on paper and via the point spread, should be flipped on its head if the forecast stands.

You see, the Bills may play in Buffalo, New York, but their playstyle and roster are more apt for a warm climate.

Buffalo doesn't have a physical run game outside of QB Josh Allen, and they prefer to throw as opposed to run.

Don't believe me? Just take a look at last year's divisional round when the Bengals came into Orchard Park and bullied the Bills in their one backyard.

As for Pittsburgh, this is the game they want.

No one thinks they can compete with Buffalo on a fast track and in perfect conditions.

The Bills and Josh Allen's aerial assault would carve up the defense and leave a Steelers offensive devoid of high-level dropback passing, struggling to keep up.

But a sloppy, snowy game based on who runs the ball better is right up the Steelers' alley.

They just won a game under those exact parameters a week ago in Buffalo.

So if a snow bowl is what comes, then a Steelers victory may be the result.
