Yet, through two seasons, he's hardly played LT, and he regressed tremendously in 2024 compared to his rookie season.

Wrong….

Broderick Jones Reportedly "Not Committed"

However, Broderick Jones did not develop as much in his second season as the Steelers were expecting, which should make his presumptive move to left tackle in 2025 all the more interesting. They want Jones to be more committed to his job.

The national media has favored GM Omar Khan ever since he took over for the tenured Kevin Colbert following the 2022 NFL Draft. But the reality is, Khan marched this team into the 2024 season with only one receiving threat on the perimeter, and his two first round picks (Broderick Jones & Trioy Fautanu) either have underperformed or not played at all due to injury, which was the primary concern for Fautanu coming out of the draft.

But for Jones, it's just the latest in a concerning line of details surrounding the culture in Pittsburgh. Defensive signal callers seemingly quitting on the team, rookies refusing to playRBs calling out their coaches, and George Pickens showing up late all year led up to a prize pick reportedly not being bought in.

And that falls on both Mike Tomlin and Omar Khan. They are the ones who have built the team. They know that scouting the player on the field is the easy part. It's finding out who the human is that matters. And right now, the Steelers have more questions than answers when it comes to the humans they employ on their roster.

And that's a sad state of affairs for such a proud franchise.
