The San Francisco 49ers will need to continue to show strength in the trenches if they are to the prevent the Cleveland Browns' pass rush from being an equalizer in their Week 6 matchup.
San Francisco kept Micah Parsons from making an impact in the 49ers' blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys last week and the pressure will be on the Niners' offensive line to enjoy similar success against Myles Garrett and Co. in Cleveland.
The news from their opening practice of the week was a big positive in that regard.

Injury report observations
It's objectively excellent news for the 49ers that starting left guard Aaron Banks is able to practice this early in the week. There were fears he could miss significant time when he was believed to have suffered a bicep injury against Dallas, but an extremely dependable pillar on a young and underrated offensive line looks set to quickly recover from a shoulder strain.
There is no such good news for Elijah Mitchell, who suffered his latest setback late in the week of practice before the Week 4 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
In his absence, second-year back Jordan Mason has impressed as the immediate backup to Christian McCaffrey.
Mason rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries versus the Cowboys. With McCaffrey the focal point of the offense and Mason doing an excellent job spelling him in Week 5, there is little reason for the 49ers to rush back Mitchell, whose hopes of a significant role this year look to have evaporated.
A 49ers-Deshaun Watson matchup appears increasingly unlikely
The Browns quarterback missed Wednesday’s practice.
