Jaxon Smith-Njigba would be on cloud nine if a new 2025 NFL mock draft becomes a reality for the Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have been busy this offseason, and their offense will look very different next season as a result. The Seattle Seahawks have been busy this offseason, and their offense will look very different next season as a result.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is going to be the only returning key contributor to the team's passing game, with Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett elsewhere. To help Smith-Njigba feel more comfortable in the team's new offense, the Seahawks landed him a former teammate from his college days in a new A to Z Sports 2025 NFL mock draft.
Seahawks land Ohio State star WR Emeka Egbuka in a new 2025 NFL mock draft

"Seattle is going through a tumultuous offseason on offense, parting ways with both wide receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, and swapping out quarterback Geno Smith for Sam Darnold. The team will look very different. Jaxon Smith-Njigba returns as the top wide receiver on the roster, but adding more talent to the room remains a crucial need for the team.
I can’t think of a better scenario than pairing Jaxon Smith-Njigba with his former Ohio State teammate Emeka Egbuka, a do-everything wide receiver that’s a polished route runner, can attack all levels of the field, and has elite body control. This is on the early side for Egbuka, but he’s a stud. Seattle would have a formidable young duo of receivers to build around for years to come."
Smith-Njigba and Emeka Egbuka were teammates at Ohio State during the 2021 and 2022 collegiate seasons. During his freshman year in 2021, Egbuka's role was minimal; he only receptions for 191 yards. In 2022, he helped fill the void caused by Jaxon Smith-Njigba being injured and erupted for a career-high 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns.
If they were paired up in Seattle, this would be their first chance to be full-time starters together. And the Seahawks would hope they could get the best version of both wide receivers. Sam Darnold excelled with the Minnesota Vikings in part due to having many options to target in their passing game. This pick would be the Seahawks trying to replicate that success by giving him as many viable targets as possible for 2025.
Seattle could snag a talented player who is falling down the draft board and draws comparisons to former Seahawks playmaker
A great deal could fall into their lap.
Seahawks give Sam Darnold what he needs most in a new 2025 NFL mock draft as they continue to rebuild their offense
The Seattle Seahawks offense had a complete makeover this offseason. One of the most drastic changes was the team's choice to trade away Geno Smith and sign Sam Darnold to be their newest starting quarterback. After giving Darnold a massive contract, the team must do everything in their power to build a roster to help […]
