We are fully in the thick of things now. The NFL's new league year is here, and all the signings the Lions have made are official. So far, they've brought in cornerback D.J. Reed, linebacker Grant Stuard, and nose tackle Roy Lopez.

As we enter Day 4 of free agency, here's the top 10 free agents that remain for the Lions: 

Edge Azeez Ojulari

This is a guy who makes a lot of sense for the Lions. He has traditionally been a depth guy for the Giants behind Kayvon Thibodeaux and Brian Burns, but that has not stopped him from getting to the quarterback. He has 109 pressures and 26 sacks in 46 games with only 30 of those being starts. The Lions could get him for a cheap two-year deal worth $10 million.

Edge Matthew Judon

This is not the most exciting move the Lions could make opposite Hutchinson, but he would be a very intriguing depth piece at 33 years old. He could be a one-year deal worth $8 million. That's not bad to bring the Grand Valley State grad back to Michigan.

Edge K'Lavon Chaisson

The former 20th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft hasn't totally lived up to the first-round draft status, but he is coming off the best year of his career and showed with the Raiders that he can be a solid depth and rotational piece and maybe more. He had 29 pressures and six sacks off the bench last year.

Edge Dennis Gardeck

He's not coming off the best season of his career. He tore his ACL in Week 7, which ended his season. He was pretty good up until then, with three sacks, an interception and a forced fumble.  His 2023 season was very good though. He had 42 pressures and six sacks. It's worth a cheap look.

OL Brandon Scherff

In a perfect world, you see the Lions would have signed both Zeitler and Scherff and have their interior just be plain old dominant along with Frank Ragnow. Sadly that's not happening now that Zeitler has signed with the Titans. The five-time Pro Bowler would be nice in Detroit on a two-year deal worth $13 million.

OL Mekhi Becton

If the Lions wanted to go all out on the offensive line, bringing in Mekhi Becton would be the move to do that. They get a 25-year-old guard who can grow with the team over the next few years and give the Lions one less spot to worry about. The problem is that Detroit would have to pay him a projected $41 million over three years.

WR Keenan Allen

The Lions may feel more like they want to draft a receiver and I'm sure they would either way, but Allen brings experience to this team that their offense could use. While he's on the older side of things, he can still be versatile. He worked in the slot and outside for the Bears last year. In Detroit he would be the WR3 on a two-year deal worth $24.5 million.

WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey

I'm intrigued by this player because I just don't think we've seen the best of him yet. There's a connection there, John Morton and Dan Campbell. He was with both in New Orleans and with Morton in Denver. 

S Rayshawn Jenkins

Jenkins spent two years with Lions defensive backs coach Deshea Townsend in Jacksonville and those happened to be the two best years of his career. 

S Marcus Williams

Not long ago, this was the guy that Lions fans really wanted in free agency. Ultimately it didn't happen and he signed with the Ravens. He's not the player he was then, but the Lions don't need him to be. This is a rotational role they need filled.
