Cincinnati Bengals superstar wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase raised some eyebrows on Sunday when he told reporters "I'm always f—ing open" after Cincy's 27-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

On Monday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor was asked about Chase's comments.

And Taylor left no doubt that he's on board with what Chase had to say.

"I thought Ja'Marr's (media session) was outstanding," said Taylor. "When you watch the two and a half minutes he spoke, it's real leadership. He's reflecting a lot on 'when I get my opportunities, I gotta find ways to be explosive and get in end zone'. We gotta be more detailed, looking at the play book, watching the tape."

"It just shows the confidence that he has….I love that" added Taylor. "That's confidence [from] one of our best players. I thought he showed great leadership in his whole two and a half minute response. You're proud of our guys in those moments. Because some guys can take those opportunities and really go off the rails. And Ja'Marr's a great example of how our best players handle it the right way. I thought he showed great leadership there."

So much for any controversy when it comes to Chase's comments. The Bengals might be 1-3, but there isn't any trouble in the locker room.

There's no doubt that Cincinnati is going through a rough stretch right now. But the leadership that Taylor mentioned is why Bengals fans should feel confident that this team will figure out a way to get hot after a slow start to the season.
