The Philadelphia Eagles announced their captains for the 2023 season and their are two new faces on the list this year.
As voted on by players, the Eagles have a total of nine team captains, with seven of them returning to the list after leading Philly to an NFC Championship in 2022.
Eagles 2023 Team Captains:
- QB Jalen Hurts
- C Jason Kelce
- OT Lane Johnson
- DT Fletcher Cox
- DE Brandon Graham
- CB Darius Slay

Wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith both first-time selections as team captains.
Brown, who has been in the league for five years and is a Pro Bowl receiver, popped of for 1,496 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns last year.
He is beyond thrilled to have this kind of respect from his fellow teammates.
"It meant everything to me just to get the respect from your peers, your teammates, to know that you're being watched and they value what you say and how you go about your day," Brown said of the honor, via the team's official site. "For them to pick me as a captain tells me that they trust me. That means a lot to me."
He also had something to say about Smith's quiet leadership style.
"DeVonta is the guy who don't really talk as much, but leads by example by how he works and I think those leaders are just as important," Brown said. "He doesn't have to say nothing. He just lines up and goes to work. Those are really important leaders as well."
Smith logged 1,200 receiving yards in 2022 and is entering his third NFL season.
