By now, Travis Kelce has to have heard each and every single one of Taylor Swift's songs. And they are all amazing, so picking a top three is a tough task.
But it was one Travis Kelce was given during his recent appearance on the Bussin' with the Boys podcast.
And the tight end did not back down from the challenge. He had his top there ready to go.
“I really started listening to Taylor’s music when she came out with 1989. I knew who she was before that. We were the same age, so I kind of, through high school, knew who Taylor was as she was getting her career started," Travis said. "But I think 1989 was where it really started to go crazy.”
So coming in at No. 1 is no other than 'Black Space', from the album 1989.
And Kelce's reasoning for picking this was simple: "It's a banger."
As for No. 2, this one was influenced by his increased time at Swift's Eras Tour this past year.
"'Cruel Summer' is one of the ones she opens with at her show and I was like, when she comes out it’s just f***ing electric in the stadium and then she goes into an absolute banger like that. I was fired when that happened at the first show I was at.”
And last but not least is one that Kelce can relate to at a very deep level.
Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, featured two songs that are about the tight end. And one of those she has even added to her setlist.
So coming in at No. 3 is 'So High School."
As for why, Kelce kept this one short and sweet: “It’s got a little bit of sentimental meaning.”
And the tight end even quote the lyrics directly.
“You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,” Kelce said with a smile.
Travis Kelce's Iconic Archer Pose
Travis Kelce has had his signature pose long before he began dating Taylor Swift.
Yet, Kelce's Archer pose goes hand in hand with Swift's song 'The Archer' from her album Lover.
So they honestly were soulmates when you look at this. And if there were any questions that Swift's song, 'So High School' was written about the Chiefs tight end, she silenced all that during her show on Friday night.
And on night two, Kelce did it right back.
