The Tennessee Vols' 52-49 win against Alabama on Saturday resulted in a celebration of epic proportions.

"Epic" is a word that can be overused at times, but it applied to the scene in Knoxville on Saturday night.

The goalposts were torn down, paraded through the streets of Knoxville, and finally tossed into the Tennessee river.

Tennessee president Randy Boyd was asked on video about the goalposts and how much it would cost to replace them.

"It doesn't matter, we'll do this every year," said Boyd with a cigar in his hand as he watched the celebration unfold on Shields-Watkins Field.

Josh Heupel is right — that is college football at its best.
