The 2025 NFL Draft has officially ended with 257 of the finest prospects in the class finding their new NFL homes. In the end, six former Notre Dame standouts were selected during the three-day event. That included on Day Two, where cornerback Benjamin Morrison was selected with the No. 53 overall selection to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and safety Xavier Watts to the Atlanta Falcons at No. 96.
Day Three has even more action, seeing four former Irish stars also hear their names called. Each brings a good bit of intrigue, with plenty of opportunity on the table. There are some very intriguing fits as well. Here is who went where on Saturday.
Round 4, Pick 107: Jacksonville Jaguars – LB Jack Kiser
While Kiser was in the running for third Notre Dame player selected, the very top of the fourth round was somewhat surprising. With Kiser’s range, experience, and versatility, he has a nice opportunity to find some impact. Special teams appears to be his calling card early on in his career. From there, it’ll be about Kiser continuing to get stronger and take advantage of defensive opportunities when they come.
Round 5, Pick 142: Seattle Seahawks – DT Riley Mills
Mills was on a tremendous run down the stretch of the season before getting injured against Indiana in the playoffs. At nearly 6-6 and 305 pounds, Mills is an impressive athlete that began his career at defensive end. While his run defense is still a major work in progress, there is clear penetration upside to tap into. He is still recovering so this feels like a long term investment for the Seahawks.
Round 5, Pick 163: Carolina Panthers – TE Mitchell Evans
If not for constant injury, there’s a strong chance Evans could have gone considerably higher based on talent. Evans brings a massive frame and good ball skills to a tight end room is Carolina that is less than stellar. He joins Tommy Tremble as former Fighting Irish standouts in the room. If Evans is able to stay healthy, he has a chance to impress and find a role. There is a clear path to surprising some folks.
Round 6, Pick 189: Indianapolis Colts – QB Riley Leonard
Leonard enters a really interesting, and strange quarterback room for the Colts. He will be competing against the likes of Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones, but he is really just looking to impress enough to earn a spot on the active roster as a backup, or a practice squad opportunity. Leonard will have to lean on his mind and athleticism to try and stand out. The question is whether his passing skills will take a step forward. Luckily head coach Shane Steichen is one of more well respected offensive minds in the business.
