The Reese’s Senior Bowl is one of the premier events in the NFL Draft space every year, inviting over 100 of the top prospects in their respective draft class. As the mantra goes, “the draft starts in Mobile.” On Wednesday, Jim Nagy and the Senior Bowl released its annual watchlist. This 2025 version included an astounding 16 current Notre Dame players.
Of the Irish stars listed, it includes quarterback Riley Leonard, wide receivers Beaux Collins, Kris Mitchell, and Jayden Thomas, tight end Mitchell Evans, offensive tackle Tosh Baker, offensive guard Pat Coogan, EDGEs Jordan Botelho and RJ Oben, defensive tackles Howard Cross and Rylie Mills, linebacker Jack Kiser, defensive back Jordan Clark, cornerback Benjamin Morrison, safety Xavier Watts, kicker Mitch Jeter.
The 18 players included on the list tied Notre Dame for eight on the list with Texas, Florida, and Florida State. The teams ahead of them are Ole Miss (21), Georgia (20), Alabama (19), Texas A&M, Ohio State (18), LSU (18), and Oregon (17).
Now that the Senior Bowl can include underclassmen with the rule change last cycle, it was nice to see Benjamin Morrison included. The All-American cornerback has recorded nine interceptions and 14 pass breakups during his first two years, developing a relationship as one of the best cover men in all of college football. Morrison has seen his name frequently in first round mock drafts this offseason.
Outside of Morrison, the Notre Dame standouts who have the best chance of being the second player selected next April is a fight between Leonard, Evans and Watts. All three of them have had some late Day Two buzz, but have also gotten steady feedback in the fourth round. It will be interesting how each of their draft shocks trend this season.
Oben is also an interesting player to watch, whose draft shock has been a bit all over the place. There is top 100 upside for Oben, but some scouts have more in the Day Three feedback right now.
It was a really surprising, and promising sign to see there be three wide receivers listed on the list for the Irish. That position has been an area of weakness for the program, and needs to improve moving forward. Each of Mitchell, Collins, and Harrison has a chance to be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft for different reasons.
