Notre Dame football landed a really nice commitment on Wednesday from 2027 Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy linebacker Amarri Irvin. Head coach Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish were able to win out over an extremely impressive offer list, including the finalists of Georgia, Nebraska, and North Carolina. The four-star defender should mesh incredibly well into a 2027 class for Notre Dame that has a chance to be another outstanding one.

To have a little bit of fun, let’s predict the next five commitments for Notre Dame in the 2027 recruiting class. These are necessarily in order of when I believe they come off the board for the Irish, but I do feel great about where things are with each currently. Freeman and his staff have continued to flex their recruiting muscles for the whole world to see.

Predicting next Notre Dame commitments

CB Xavier Hasan – Raleigh (N.C.) Cardinal Gibbons

Things have been trending in a great direction with Hasan over the last several months. The 6-0, 180-pound cover man is an outstanding talent, and he would be arguably the most gifted cover cornerback that Mike Mickens would have landed. Hasan currently sits as the No. 38 overall player on the 247 Sports Composite ranking, and there is a good chance he threatens five-star status when all is said and done. Notre Dame is the clear leader right now for the North Carolina standout. This feels like a matter of when, not if, at this point.

WR Quentin Burrell – Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel

At 6-3 and 175 pounds, Burrell is the type of boundary wide receiver that the Fighting Irish offense needs more of. With Burrell being a top-50 recruit right in their backyard, he is a talent that the Irish need to close on effectively. From a player, academic, and cultural perspective, Burrell seems to fit Notre Dame as well as you will find. He is a player that the staff has had a high opinion of for a very long time, and the Chicago standout has reciprocated that interest. There isn’t a firm timeline on making a decision, but the Irish are frontrunning right now.

DT Brayden Parks – Chicago (Ill.) Brother Rice

A bigger interior presence at 6-3 and 305 pounds, Parka brings the impact size that Notre Dame has been pushing hard for. Like Burrell, Parks is a local talent who seemingly fits the program perfectly, so they need to close on him effectively. Parks is a dominant performer for Brother Rice, and his upside is as big as his size. While defensive tackle isn’t a position you typically see play early for Notre Dame, Parks has the talent to do so. He is that good.

CB Tavares Harrington – Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel

Let’s just stay in the city of Chicago, where Harrington is a gifted defensive back that Notre Dame likes a lot. At 6-3 and 180 pounds, he has the body type and movement skills to play either cornerback or safety on the next level. Things have been in a good spot for a while now, and I love where the Irish are currently. It’ll all be about closing from here on out. Harrington feels like Notre Dame’s to lose as we currently sit.

TE Seneca Driver – Danville (Ky.) Boyle County

Notre Dame has been killing it with Irish legacies over the years, and Driver could be the next one in the 2027 class. He is a freaky athlete at 6-6 and 235 pounds, possessing the athleticism and catch radius to become a dominant pass catcher on the college level. The Irish staff has found themselves in a very good position for several top tight end targets on the board. At this point, several may need to expedite their process a bit to make sure they don’t lose their spot in the class.
