We are fully entrenched in the 2025 NFL Draft season. That includes the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, which is set to kick off on February 27th. Over 300 of the best draft prospects in the class will be traveling to compete in front of NFL scouts and decision makers in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Of those players who were invited, eight former Notre Dame players will participate. Each of them will have an opportunity to impress, and all of them have something unique they bring to the table. Here are the Irish standouts you need to watch.

QB Riley Leonard

Leonard was an instrumental part of the Notre Dame success this season, but questions surrounding his upside as a passer still exist. If Leonard chooses to test, he should put on a show. His showing as a thrower during the event is even more important.

WR Beaux Collins

This was one of the more interesting inclusions on the list. Collins started the 2024 season off strong for the Irish, but really fizzled down the stretch. He possesses a big body, and blocks his butt off but his hands are really inconsistent. Collins testing well would be huge for him.

TE Mitchell Evans

Evans didn’t look like himself for most of the 2024 season. He has dealt with injuries throughout his Notre Dame career, and when he’s healthy, Evans is quite good. Everyone knows that Evans has a huge body and frame, but showcasing underlying athleticism to develop is a question.

DT Howard Cross III

A lot was expected from Cross going into the 2024 season. Unfortunately Cross dealt with multiple nagging injuries, which hurt his play and production. Nobody knows how Cross’s receiver is going. Showcasing his talents at the Combine would be nice to see.

DT Rylie Mills

It is very unlikely for Mills to be able to rest after missing the last couple of games with an ankle injury. It’s a shame because he was expected to test really well from an athleticism perspective. Mills will still have the chance to interview, and check on his medicals for teams.

LB Jack Kiser

Most people expect Kiser to test really well. That, on top of his 2024 production, make him a very attractive prospect and potential riser. For anyone who has ever spoken to Kiser, there is no chance he doesn’t impress NFL scouts and decision makers that sit down with him.

CB Benjamin Morrison

I wouldn’t expect Morrison to participate in the on-field drills due to his recovery from his hip surgery. Medicals are going to be the major question he has to ask, while Morrison is sure to dazzle people from an interview perspective. The key is to impress every day he can in Indianapolis.

S Xavier Watts

Watts was originally supposed to participate at the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl, but he opted to rest his body after a long season. His time in Indianapolis is going to be even more important. Everyone knows Watts is a tremendous football player but what type of athlete is he?

There is also a rumor swirling out there that former Notre Dame defensive end RJ Oben did receive an invite, but opted to not participate due to rest from a long season. It is unclear if that is true, but that is what some are saying.
